A MOVEMENT TO BRING PEOPLE TRUE FREEDOM & HEALINGWellness Revival was started in 2018 by four friends on different health journeys but all with the same heart and passion for true wellness.When all hope is lost, who do you turn to? When your family is falling apart and you can’t see how you’re going to make it through — is there any way out?
Their mission is to reach others for the kingdom of God to encourage complete discipleship and healing in body, soul and spirit. They accomplish this through powerful monthly events which incorporate things like holistic nutrition, Revelation Fitness workouts, and Holy Yoga to give attendees an idea of what healing and freedom looks like.
We got the opportunity to document one of these events through photography and video in late 2019, hosted at a local church in California’s Central Valley. The team of women was waiting at the doors to warmly and enthusiastically greet everyone who entered — the atmosphere was welcoming and exciting as attendees gathered inside.
After a greeting and introduction, the team led the large group through a series of different experiences designed to help them open up emotionally, have fun, get a great workout, and have a meaningful spiritual connection with God.
They shared parts of their stories and how their journeys have given them a greater passion to help others, led guided movement to music, worshiped together, and took the group through a yoga flow. All through the night these moments were intentionally accompanied by prayer, words of encouragement, and room for God to speak.
At the end of the night the women invited everyone to rest on their yoga mats and close their eyes as the four of them knelt beside each one and prayed over them. It was a deeply spiritual and beautiful experience, and it was easy to see how much joy these people had simply getting to be there.
We were honored to document this Wellness Revival event, and we are so excited to see how this movement continues to grow and spread in 2020!
